The Horses

Picture
Bella and Tuff are the two horse I am lucky to pal around with. I would love to someday have a herd of horses but I guess you have to start some where!
Bella Rosa (Bella, Bells) is a Percheron cross. She is a giant gray mare, taped out at a true 17.3 hands. She is calm and loving. Riding her is a blast! I have owned her for almost a year now and let me tell you, I'm sold on these large horses. Mounting can be a problem yet comical to others watching!

Fierce Advocate (Tuff) is a Registered Thoroughbred gelding. He is a rich bay with only a small star and strip. He doesn't have a lot of chrome but he is a beauty. He came off the track in November 2009. He was a birthday gift from a friend who is deep in the TB community. She asked me if I would be interested in a OTTB due to the fact that a TB I was looking into getting didn't work out. I was thrilled! So she traveled back to her home State of Connecticut and brought him back with her new brood mares. Retraining him to be a riding/sport horse is fun. There are a lot of things that he is not used to but he is coming along nicely. He is very touchy feely with me which was shocking to me at first. When riding him I can feel what pure power truly is. When he picks it up you can almost hear the starting gate bells sound!
